UPGRADING OF THE CENTRAL AIRPORT OF N. HERACLEI, CRETE

With the energy upgrade of the central air conditioning of the “Nikos Kazantzakis” International Airport of Heraklion, the expansion and renovation of the interior spaces of the airport was completed. The modernization of the air conditioning of the airport was carried out by replacing 6 AERMEC air-cooled heat pumps type NRB1600XHAR00 with a total installed cooling capacity of 2.55 MWatt.

The heat pumps are highly energy efficient with a seasonal ESEER factor of 4.04 and the maximum possible energy class A according to EUROVENT with a COP of 3.21. In addition, they are equipped with copper-copper elements for resistance to particularly harsh environmental conditions, C-TOUCH color touch screen and expansion cards in Modbus protocol for communication with the central management of the airframe.
