Complete renovation of a 140m2 apartment in the city of Trikala with a dry construction floor system by the Austrian company VARIOTHERM. For the construction of the VarioComp floor system, specially shaped 18mm thick fiberboard plates with VarioProfile 11.6 x 1.5 Laser multilayer pipe were used.

The system was placed on top of the existing floor of the apartment, after all the necessary preliminary work for the plumbing had been done. A 10mm thick XPS 10-200 extruded polystyrene plate with a thermal conductivity of 0.035W/mk was used to limit thermal losses, while a 0.1mm thick PE polyethylene sheet was used before installing the fiber plasterboards

The multi-layer pipe was laid in 10cm increments in a “snail” arrangement, followed by the laying of VARIOTHERM’s special coating material, Filling Compound T7, over the entire surface, creating a homogeneous substrate before the final coating was applied.

The facility will work with an air-cooled heat pump to cover heating and cooling needs. The total installation construction of the VarioComp system took 7 days and was delivered with the surface ready for tiling as the final cladding.
