VARIOTHERM's Variofix system is a flexible system where it consists of a special hard formed knot sheet without insulation. It is combined with a VarioProfile 16x2 Plus+ multi-layer pipe with the possibility of free laying in a meander or spiral. Its special construction ensures the stable support of the pipe as well as the homogeneous connection between the plates, without displacements.

VarioFix – Floor Heating System with joint plate 

System installation 

The application of the node leaf system is carried out in the following steps:
  • Good cleaning of the finished slab surface where the system will be applied. Before starting work on the installation of underfloor heating, all electrical and plumbing installations must be completed (and under pressure) inside the building, the central heating columns, completion and precise demarcation of fixed structures (internal stairs, fireplaces, bathtubs, etc. ), installation of marble plinths and frames and finalization of the final floor covering in all areas.
  • Positioning of the perimeter margin according to the EN 1264-4 standard, along the walls, allowing the horizontal contraction-expansion of the floating floor.
  • Installation of the heat-insulating and/or sound-insulating plate according to the requirements and specifications of the application.
  • Installation on the insulation of the formed VarioFix junction sheet.
  • Laying of the VarioProfile 16×2 Plus+ multi-layer pipe in a spiral or meander arrangement at a laying density as determined by the study. Hydraulic connection of each circuit to the central column distributor.
  • Specify expansion joints where required
  • Filling the hydraulic circuit and checking for tightness.
  • Laying of the cement mortar
  • Physical and technical drying process of the cement mortar of a total duration of at least 5 weeks.
  • Cement moisture control and final coating application.
